Cypress Accessibility
Zero-setup accessibility checks on every step of every user journey. Debugging and reporting right next to your test results, with no performance overhead.
Cypress Accessibility provides automatic accessibility reports on everything that's rendered in your existing tests, using a combination of the well-known Axe-Core® ruleset and custom Cypress checks based on how elements are actually used in your testing.
You can compare reports to see only the new issues, and connect to an API to optionally fail your build based on specific accessibility issues and where they are found. Reports are processed in Cypress Cloud and have no impact on your test execution.
Now for the first time, you can sign up and activate a trial without a customized demo call with the Cypress team. You'll see how everything works, and all the accessibility reports are yours to keep. Then if you think this is a good fit for your team, we can pick up the conversation from there.

What do I get in a free trial?
A lot!- All new runs in all your Cypress Cloud projects can immediately receive accessibility checks - no setup, no installation, no test code updates
- If you are recording to the Cloud with Test Replay enabled - congrats! You are all set. If you don’t have a Cloud account, you can sign up for our free plan then come back to submit the form on this page.
- Accessibility reports based on every step of every user journey, organized into page- or component-level reports
- Overall reports with deduplicated findings from the entire run, organized by accessibility rules
- Fully rendered, inspectable HTML and CSS snapshots of the entire page for any reported issues
- Slack/Github comments from Cypress will include accessibility scores and other details automatically
- Standard Axe-Core® rule set, plus custom Cypress checks based on your test interactions, checking for more issues than a standard static scan
- Diff view to look for only the new issues between any two runs
- Access to all configuration options to control element identification, exclude elements, manage pages and components, and more
- Share button to quickly grab a deep link and key violation details for ticket creation or sharing in other context
- All report data is yours to keep when the trial ends, which means it’s safe to make tickets based on these reports - they will be visible within your plan’s standard data retention limits
- Access to the Results API to see how you can block builds
How does this work without test code changes or packages to install?
We process these reports on the Cypress Cloud side, based on Test Replay data that’s already a part of a standard Cypress Cloud recording. Your tests don’t have to account for this in any way. This also means there are no flake, failures, or performance tradeoffs related to the accessibility tests. Your functional test run should be fully passing, allowing all the accessibility issues to be gathered together in a single place, without failing a test at the first issue. What if I want to extend the trial?
If you’d like to extend the trial beyond a week, you’ll be able to contact us to discuss a full trial, which is typically two weeks long and involves some detailed walkthroughs, Q&A, and support with customization according to your specific goals. In full trials, we work with you to make sure you have everything you need to make a purchasing decision, including all the relevant product information, and support crafting the business case for a paid accessibility testing tool if needed.About Cypress
